Biography

Formed in 1983 by Ace Frehley, after his departure from 70’s super-group KISS. Along with Richie Scarlet (guitars, vocals), John Regan (bass) and Anton Fig (drums), demos were recorded and soon a contract were signed. The record company went bankrupt, so they had to start all over again searching for a new contract.
The self-titled debut album was finally released in 1987, and by that time Richie Scarlet had been replaced by Tod Howarth. The hit record was followed by the live EP “Live +1”, and by full length studio album “Second Sightning” in 1988. By that time Anton Fig had a full-time gig with the Late Night with David Letterman studio band, and been replaced by Jamie Oldaker on drums.
In 1989 the album “Trouble Walkin’” was released. This album was released as a solo album by Ace Frehley, because of the change to a rougher sound and music style. Although the band was the original line-up of Frehley’s Comet.

Well, imho, there would be no band without Tod Howarth and his AWESOME songs... so it wouldn't be so nice to call "Frehley's Comet" a solo-project of Ace... at least not 100% :) Ace is cooler than cool, but there's no fun without Tod.

You should scrobble Second Sighting and Live+1 songs as Frehley's Comet and others with Ace Frehley 'cause they are the artist / band which released them. Even though Ace changed his solo project name to Frehley's Comet shortly after the Frehley's Comet album it was released as his solo album and should be scrobbled under his name. And he switched it back to his own solo project before releasing Trouble Walking.
