Biography

Rather fey, witty and infectious, Frazier Chorus seemed destined, for a short while around 1989, to be the Next Big Thing. It never happened, which is a shame - their cross between Beloved, Deacon Blue and Pet Shop Boys deserved much more.

Brilliant band- saw them live on a whim during a visit to the UK in the 90's- glad I did, they were great.

interesting, interesting and smart English band, potent songs like a mix of synthpop and indiepop plus classical, Saint Etienne + Pet Shop Boys + Red Box + The Field Mice + One Dove + New Order + OMD + The Smiths= Frazier Chorus, cool stuff.

Looking for bands similar in sound to Frazier Chorus. Any thoughts? Especially bands that use lots of clarinet.

Oakenfold should have packed it in after his remix of Nothing. Absolute timeless, pop perfection. Criminally underrated were Frazier Chorus. Still, it's a wee bit like being in a secret club, those of us who have even heard of them!

Their lack of success is downright criminal... Ray was a beautiful album...
