He might be referring to a three point turn-around, meaning turn around and come back

Anyone know what a Greenpoint three point is? A train? A basketball shot? I know Greenpoint is in Brooklyn.

If I got dumped by Eleanor Friedberger, I'd sit around all day writing songs about her too.

Hmmm Eleanor of Aquitaine is the most famous, and most powerful, Eleanor that I have heard about............. no idea whether she wore boots or not, but she did have 2 powerful husbands and also two famous sons.....

It reminds me, somewhat, of the KinBeatles, or thereabouts....... even though they are Scottish. Probably under the influence when composing this, still not too bad though...... in my opinion. :)
