FRANKIE JAZZ, despite what the name says, is a Rock band, born in Bogota in the year 2008 briefly after Jose Vergara recorded the album. It was made in LA at “The Emergency Room”, studio of Cage9…s lead singer, Evan Rodaniche, producer of the album, who is also the guitar player for POWERMAN 5000.
After that, the band was put together, and just a couple of months later a first single was released in Colombian radio, toping every Rock chart in the country in a matter of just days, and playing in every major event. Important things began to happen, and by the hand of the group’s manager Juan David Vergara “JdV Music”, (who is the brother of Jose Vergara), FRANKIE JAZZ is now expanding its targets. Now, sponsored By Gibson guitars and having it’s first video ready, Directed by Al Marenco Saenz, the band is now getting set to take over the American Rock scene.
By the way, the name of the band comes from an old children’s story written by the band’s manager in which Frankie Jazz is the name of the main character, who was an aspiring musician who with the help of a friend, became Rock stars in a very funny way.
The band is conformed by Lead singer Jose Vergara, drummer Juan Baratto, Guitar player Nicolas Riveros, and Abel Delgado in the bass. The video made is that of the single called Let Me Take My Way, which also names the bands first studio album.
