Frankenfinger is a post-punk, indie, psychedelic trio from Florida founded by Kathy Denton, Drew Watson and Ron Matus. The band smoked the Florida punk & indie music scene during the late 90’s and released several vinyl singles including the college radio favourite “Minuet”, a CD ep, a CD compilation, a cassette compilation and a legendary unreleased bootleg album “Hotcakes Five Cents”. “Fun stuff. Semi-psychedelic, hummable pop music with great fuzzy guitars and male/female vocals that remind me of Lazy. Even the lyrics are great (“I like your Mom…she’s got a nice ass, I like your Dad…he doesn’t say too much”). This trio doesn’t take themselves too seriously, yet they come up with some seriously good music that holds up to many repeated listenings. My only criticism here is that there are only five tunes.
