Montreal, Canada (2006 – present)

Forteresse was born on an irrelevant day of 2006 in the ruins of Montréal. In this age where few remember their ancestors and the honored traditions that have forged La Belle Province, Forteresse stands proud to oppose the degeneration of its homeland. Narrated by Moribond and Athros, Metal Noir Québécois stand as an hommage to ancient traditions and to all those that long to see the banner of liberty rise at last. PATRIOTIC, EPIC BLACK METAL.

GRIMOIRE – L’aorasie des spectres rêveurs Being the sole vision of Fiel (Forteresse/Csejthe), GRIMOIRE stands for atmospheric dense and epic Quebec Black Metal. The follow-up to the debut full-length and insider tip ‘À La Lumière Des Cendres’ (Morbid Winter Rec.) is called ‘L’aorasie des spectres rêveurs’ and will be released with splendid artwork by Sperber Illustrationen under Vinyl, Tape and Digital format. We are furthermore pleased Grimoire has found a home for its future beyond their next release. Visit the releasepage to listen the track “Tragédie des ombres” already in advance.

:D@ slavicpast, Pauline Marois and Forteresse are all about Quebecer separatism, they go hand in hand in a way. Anyhoodles, that blyat cunt Pauline is getting her ass kicked out of power very soon, i'm looking forward to it

Pauline Marois and the goons would be very impressed by Forteresse's nationalist fervor if the band decides to perform at a PQ rally;), great atmopheric bm nonetheless.

Love this band! It is a shame I could not attend their show in the Netherlands last year! And about the nationalism: I favor classy, creatively expressed nationalism of these Canadian gentlemen over the devolved, redneck-pride of (read: most) Americans.

lul I love this band but I've always thought the idea of French nationalism on colonized land don't make sense XD
