Forrest played lead guitar for his father throughout the 80’s in many small clubs in the Dallas/Ft worth Texas area before moving back to Washington State in the 90’s and touring Canada and the NW USA for several years.
Forrest moved to Nashville in 1995 and quickly became one of the hot guitarists in town. He showed up with a pink paisley Telecaster with a B bender installed, and quickly build a reputation as a guitarists guitarist, subbing for Tele master Redd Volkaert in Don Kelly’s band. Forrest took several road gigs playing with many artists while working on getting a record deal.
In 1998 when the Nashville Tornado tore up downtown Nashville (and his house gig at the Turf) He decided to move back to Washington to raise his family, and went to workfor Microsoft for several years.
During this time he was writing and recording constantly, and spawned a career teaching “speed twang” with his guitar instruction videos.
In 2005 he released the critically acclaimed cd Telethon (Telecaster Marathon) which included his friends and fellow guitarists Redd Volkaert, Matt Rae, Jimmy Yeary and founding member of Heart Roger Fisher.
