Project of German Andy Meya formed in 1996. Forma Tadre combines elements of movie soundtracks with a dense electronic soundscape that draws parallels to bands like Haujobb (which Meya has collaborated with extensively both as a producer and as a remixer) and electronic act Gridlock. The name comes from a contraction of the artist name and album title "Force Majeure" by tangerine dream.

  • I bought Navigator on a whim back round about it's release ('96/'97). To this day, probably the best "blind" music purchase I've made. Still one of my favorite artists, and Navigator one of my favorite albums of the 90's. I had thought the project more or less dead.. Then suddenly, the fantastic Music Of Erich Zann! .... So, I keep my fingers crossed that he'll surprise me with another new album here sometime in the next couple years. ;p
  • More please!
  • Now that iTunes is DRM free I've FINALLY been able to listen to "The Music of Erich Zann". Gorgeous on the first few listens ("Out Of The Spirit World" stands out initially), and I can tell that, like "Automate", there are loads of subtleties which will reveal themselves upon further listens.
  • Genius.
  • Good sound! I heard only 1 track some years ago on a sampler... but seems I forgot about this band :(
  • Forma Tadre is the greatest EBM act of the 90's and a huge influence on my own project.
  • I had no idea Forma Tadre was so universally ignored. I agree with Contrasoma, this IS criminal.
  • Less than 10,000 plays? This is criminal! Huzzah for a new record, plus apparently a previously-unreleased album!
