Biography

On January 8, 1994, Chris Robinson and Marc Ford of the Black Crowes participated in an impromptu performance with a handful of other artists. They dubbed themselves Foamfoot and performed a one-off show at the Troubador in Hollywood where they played classic rock covers. The show was recorded for potential release, but was never officially released. High-quality bootlegs, however, have circulated widely for years among tape traders and Black Crowes fans, in general.

The lineup consisted of:
-Chris Robinson (vocals, harmonica) and Marc Ford (guitar) of the Black Crowes
-Jimmy Asshurst (bass) of the JuJu Hounds and (after Foamfoot) Buck Cherry
-Andy Sturmer (drums) of Jellyfish
-Eric Bobo (percussion) who played with Cypress Hill and the Beastie Boys
-Gary Louris (guitar) of the Jayhawks
-David Crosby (vocals & guitar) of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, & Nash (and CSNY), who joined the band on stage to perform the CSN classic, “Long Time Gone”

The setlist included:
Walk in My Shadow (Free)
Bottle Of Red Wine (Derek and the Dominoes)
Tin Soldier (The Small Faces)
Take The Highway (Marshall Tucker Band)
Deal (Jerry Garcia)
Love Me Til The Sun Shines (The Kinks)
Long Time Gone (with David Crosby) (Crosby, Stills and Nash)
Jemima Surrender (The Band)
One Way Out (The Allman Brothers)
Presence of the Lord (Blind Faith)
