This is probably the preachiest, most judgmental song I've ever heard. I mean, the song itself is pretty good, the music's fine, the melody's good, and aesthetically the lyrics aren't bad, but being preachy and judgmental about sexuality is something I would expect from other Christian bands, not from Flyleaf. Being someone who's not Christian but greatly appreciates Flyleaf's music, I'm a fan of their songs about love, longing, and a quest to be a whole person through the power of love. This song is basically indoctrination and guilt set to music. The gist of the song appears to be "Don't have sex with anyone, or masturbate, or do anything of the like, if you aren't married. Your sex isn't worthy of appreciation, it's wasted and sinful and evil, and you're committing evil." There's some preachy interlude about money that I think is just to throw the listener off and categorize the song as being about all "sin," but really it's an angry indoctrinated song about sex.
