In Giappone il rock psychedelico , ma diciamo tutta la musica rock in generale, ebbe inizio con innumerevoli cover band che suonavano tutta la musica che arrivava dall'EUROPA e dagli USA , passando ogni novità straniera sotto la lente di ingrandimento del loro esclusivo filtro nazionale , generando risultati molte volte superiori a quelli che li avevano ispirati in partenza . Il risultato è una magia che combina esultanza regale e barbarie sfrenata , come ebbe a dire il saggio JULIAN COPE , di una completezza musicale sufficiente per rendere superflua l'aggiunta di qualsiasi altra cosa . E a proposito dei FLOWER TRAVELLIN' BAND e del loro immenso capolavoro SATORI dice sempre il buon J. Cope : " Fa talmente storia a sè che , se esistesse un termine di paragone , non è ancora stato registrato " . OM HARI OM ...
