Biography

Benjamin Fletcher was born in Paddington, Sydney, Australia. Growing up in a beach side suburb of Sydney Benjamin left high school at the age of 15 to become a founding member of rock and roll band Bluebottle Kiss. Benjamin played bass and guitar on 5 Bluebottle Kiss albums & various other releases including: (Higher Up The Fire Trails (1994), Double Yellow Tarred (1995), Fear Of Girls (1996), Somnambulist Homesick Blues (1997), Tapdancing On The Titanic (1998), Patient (1999), Revenge Is Slow (2002), Come Across (2004)). Bluebottle Kiss toured relentlessly throughout Australia, the USA and the UK.

Benjamin started his own band The Devoted Few, as songwriter and vocalist, in January 2001. The band released 3 full length albums and an EP; (Sleepless (2002), Billboard Noises (2004), Baby, You’re A Vampire (2009)) and (Schematic Tracks (2005)). The Devoted Few toured extensively around Australia with bands such as: Dappled Cities, Sarah Blasko and Eskimo Joe.

In 2004 Benjamin left Bluebottle Kiss to concentrate solely on The Devoted Few.

In 2005 Benjamin joined acclaimed Australian singer Sarah Blasko’s live band playing bass, guitar and keyboards. The Devoted Few was placed on hiatus in 2010 when Benjamin moved to London and continued touring Europe and the US with Sarah Blasko.

In 2012 Benjamin recorded his debut solo album in London, Sydney and Stockholm.

    They can be found, search "six track sound" and "my revenge" not a great volume of output but completely of its time. I'd go as far as say afew bands (MAC, GCWCF, Gallows) might not have made what they did were it not for these boys, DOTR, HTJ, TOOT, an awesome time

    Today I've heard Least Resistant from the band (on an old Rock Sound sampler), but when I went to search for some more material, I couldn't find it anywhere on the webs... does anyone know where to find some more of this?

    Yes, this is the old name of Colour Revolt. Though this seems to also be the name of a band that is using the name.
