Biography
Flatlus (lat. phthirus pubis) was the solo project of an Uppsala student circa 1990-91.
Flatlus produced a number of tapes, dated, like a diary which were occasionally copied to friends. Much was instrumental tracks, not dissimilar to The Residents 80s and 90s style and mainly made with the Ensoniq SQ-80 sequencers synthesizer and a 4-channel porta studio.
When embellished with lyrics the songs took on punkish attitudes, or as in the case of “Vid Fyrisåns strand”, a sad and beautiful expression of anxiety and despair of student life in the University city of Uppsala.
