When You Land Here, It's Time to Return is a full-length album released by indie rock band Flake Music (now known as The Shins). The album was recorded in the Spring of 1997 and subsequently released on the Omnibus Records label in 1997. There are three untitled tracks dispersed throughout this album, but the tracklisting on the back of the CD case only lists the eight songs with titles. Flake Music was a band from Albuquerque, United States active from 1992 to 1999 led by James Mercer before he dropped the project in favor of his side-band, The Shins. In fact, James brought along the entire band with him and they formed under their new name. Flake Music released two 7-inch singles and a 1997 full-length album, "When You Land Here It's Time to Return."
