He sounds SO MUCH like Fran Healy when he sings 'standard procedure' at the end of this track.

I didn't used to rate this song much, but it's grown on me.

More Elliott Smith Heatmiser-era than Libertines if you ask me.

Does sound Libertines-esque. Not in a good way though. They're a band we don't really need back.

Hey hey folks the lyrics seem to be of a high standard and the music is obviously stylistically different from his earlier work - he's challanging his listeners?

im not really sure, much more Leonard Cohen-esque than the earlier stuff which drew Cohen comparisons. The Irish Times say very nice things about the new album, personally i worry his fan base and interest has disintergrated and an album which is anything less than incredible will see him disintegrate into obscurity.

Disappointed, hope the album makes up for it.
