Fingersmoran is a Canadian (Vancouver, BC)-based instrumental duo by brothers Shawn Moran (custom 6-string bass) and Rory Moran (electric drums). A still pretty obscure act by mainstream standards, Fingersmoran began gaining some notoriety in late 2006 thanks to some performance home videos posted on popular video site Youtube.com. Shawn’s virtuoso bass style is largely reminiscent of legendary Primus foreman Les Claypool (an obvious influence) but with more emphasis on funk-infused, short-length pieces. Rory’s great drumming skills make a great complement to Shawn’s bass playing. Primus fans and bass heads in general should not miss this one.

They have three albums out currently, “Fingersmoran - EP”, “Fingersmoran II”, and “Fingersmoran III”. All of them are available for purchase and sample on iTunes and other music-selling websites.

Currently, Fingersmoran regularly publishes new tracks at their MySpace page and is already netting some gigs around the Vancouver area.

Yeah, if anyone would become the next Wooten/Claypool, it's this guy. Not saying he tops them, but he's definitely coming up upon them. Incredible.
