Biography

Imagine an act that plays all your favorite Nintendo tunes with an ultra-poppy emopunk-twist. That would be a good description of Findel.

Since April 2004 Bart van Dalen is busy writing energetic electropopsongs mixed with influences of old computer games under his alter-ego ‘Findel’. A very refreshing mix which is, according to Bart, also known as ‘Pixelpunk’. When he threw a few MP3’s on the internet, it became a small hype. The people loved it. Bart posted a message in the guestbook of Dutch hiprockband Relax, frontman Llewy read it, listened to the MP3’s, got really excited and wanted to help Bart with finding a band and finishing the album.

Bart got delighted, wrote more and more songs and searched for a band so that the songs could be played in a good live-form. The band archieved great things in 2006-2007. Findel played support in the clubtour of Dutch powerpop-band The Sheer, Findel received the Utracks Award for most promising talent of Utrecht and an European tour through England, France and Belgium in March 2007 has been done.
The debut-album Findel Enters The Shadowlands, which will contain all the songs that were written and recorded by Bart in 2004-2006, is out since November 9th 2007.
With all these things in mind, the Findel-future is looking bright.
