  • UN KUARTITO's tour diary Part 6 - in English!

    11 Apr 2008, 18:52 by UeberseeRecords

On the road again: Un Kuartito from Buenos Aires, Argentina!

    Hola amigos,

Driving and driving until we get to Prague Jenny our gps took us on the side road to the capital city, a lot of little towns until we get crazy of going run and around but finally we get to Cross club. Kenso was there and took care of us, a night with theatre, literature and music, very cool evening. Some went to the hostel after dinner and the others stayed at the club. Very good concert a lot of spanish people that found out about the concert because of Radio Chango page, thanks Vinx and all at radio.

Next day travel to Potsdam, long drive, we got stop at the border on a routine check with a kind of heavy metal fan cop, cool fellow. At Potsdam our friend Rengo was ther waiting with food, we were starving after a long trip so we jump like monkeys to the food and coffee. Another easy and fast sound check and to rest until late that night for the concert. Humberto came with friends to almost complete the circle.

Well, here comes the third episode of Team Übersee Records in Latinoamérica! Check our photo section for some pics!

And don't forget - we brought a band over almost simultanously: No Te Va Gustar are touring Europe right now!

    Enjoy!

    Day 5:
The local Band Un Kuartito invites us on a city-trip. We start at a café where you can still sense the spirit of revolution. Nothing has changed here for the last 40 years and even Emiliano’s father has spent his childhood here. We’re probably the only tourists that have set a foot into this joint. We take the Metro (Subte) to their rehearsal room and walk around their neighbourhood. Of course we have to be a bit more careful here than in Montevideo and as we hop on a taxi we see why: a man jumps on a scooter from behind and beats the crap out of the driver... Let’s keep the video camera a bit more hidden from now on.
In the evening we meet with the band at a Sourcecode where Martín plays regularly with some friends. The place is basic. No schnick-schnack only soccer-essentials.
