I think the album got a little bit overrated despite the fact that Karin's one of the most interesting singers of the recent era, I think. from youtube videos, I have the feeling, though, fever ray's peak must have been definitely those live shows - laser beams, lamps, everything synchronised - so even some, to me, a bit weak songs got powerful

For me: the cover makes me feel ambiguous: it is a bit dark as if there is mysterious color popping out of the linear image: the white lines. As we know, all art is is lines with blank spaces color to form the message and the visual itself. However, the image is strangely, eerily, fantastically, and iridescently nostalgic and somehow sarcastic. It almost resonates to the music: light and yet...strangely dark: however, it is in a way a patchwork of darkness painted against a light pane: which is the opposite effect of the photo. (it is more light painted upon a dark pane) The music is dark painted against the light pane with iridescence popping out of these arcade-nostalgia infused ambiances. (an industry, somehow)
