Ignite the Seven Cannons is the fourth album by British alternative rock band Felt, released in 1985. The album was produced by Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins, and features his bandmate Elizabeth Fraser as a backing vocalist. The band’s most successful single, “Primitive Painters”, was culled from this album. All the songs on the album were written by Lawrence and Maurice Deebank, except “Elegance of An Only Dream”, which was written by Maurice Deebank, and “Serpent Shade”, which was written by Lawrence. Tracks 6,8,9 and 11 are instrumental.
