Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, known generally as Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847) was a German composer, pianist, organist, and conductor of the early Romantic period.

Mendelssohn was born on 3rd February 1809 in Hamburg, Germany into a notable Jewish family (his grandfather was the philosopher Moses Mendelssohn). Looking at your charts, it looks like there's a British musician with the same name who wrote Hawaiian music.   • i listen to a lot of hawaiian music and some of it scrobbles at felix mendelssohn based on song names. can someone explain the relevance? was it that felix transcribed traditional hawaiian music (which i've heard of other europeans in hawaii)?
