@ laikamq (& whoever is interested) : it is an American folk song & the Library of Congress has a copy of it posted to itunesU by a Christine & Katherine Shipp, (I'm not saying it's the origin) but it's a nice listen :)

it is a cover, both of them are covers of the song Sea Lion Woman but that song is a American folk song, so no one knows where the origin of it is and so there are a few versions of Sea Lion Woman.. yea jus to clear it up... there are versions called see-line.. basically its like sayin "see lying woman" sped up and spiced up

I think we can label it as a cover, since most of the melody and lyrics match. Great version, anyway :)

Sealion and Sea Lion Woman are completely different songs. I'm pretty sure Sea Lion Woman is only on the iTunes release, it isn't on the CD release I've seen in stores.

This is strange. The original by Nina Simone is called 'See-line woman' and goes: See-line woman / She drink coffee / She drink tea / And then go home. While Feist's song is called 'Sealion', and goes: Sea lion woman / She drink coffee / She drink tea / And a rooster crows. So is this a cover, or isn't it?
