Krautrock (7:32)

“krautrock” was a joke phrase based on an ethnic slur that was used by the British press as an umbrella term refering to the new and wildly diverse experimental music coming from Germany and that later became treated as a genre, which many of the bands tried to distance themselves from. Faust were later quoted as saying “… when the English people started talking about Krautrock, we thought they were just taking the piss… and when you hear the so-called ‘Krautrock renaissance’, it makes me think everything we did was for nothing.” This track should probably be taken in that context.
