About this album

Released 5th April 2010. Debut album, recorded in Glasgow, Scotland.

Rock Sound Magazine said:

A jagged, stop-start riff, then straight in for the kill: “I fell in love with a Farmfoods check-out girl / Yes, the sex was good / But the food it was unreal!”. Quite a way to announce your debut album, but Glasgow trio Fatalists don’t give the immediate impression they’re into holding back. With a clank of prime The Jesus Lizard and a distinctly Scottish sense of humour, they certainly deliver on titular promises in subsequent discordance ‘Headache’ and ‘Art School Bloodbath’. “Zero press, zero stress” reads their MySpace at time of writing, a self-deprecating motto that ‘Between The Aisles’ deserves to messily mow down.

AltSounds Review:

With an ongoing arsenal of riffs, rhythms and ridiculous lyrics, Fatalists prove that it only takes three Scots with fast hands and an awesome sense of humour to make more noise than a hungry bear ambushing a scouts’ camp site.

Ensuring that listeners will be in need of a hearing aid after the monstrous intro of ‘Great Success In Uniform’, we are told the tale of a sexual conquest with “the Farmfoods checkout girl’ which sets us up for an unsafe journey of obscure stories and advice announced over ear-piercing start/stop riffage. Other than an array of heading banging clatter, danceable rhythms are present throughout, such as the appropriately titled ‘Freeze On The Spot’ and the groovy-as-hell ‘Art School Blood Bath’.
