Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician (born John Marshall) is an American and from Cincinnati, Ohio and one of the four members of Five Deez, alongside Pase Rock, Sonic, and Kyle David (a.k.a. chilly most).

He has recently gained fame for his work on the Samurai Champloo soundtrack alongside Force of Nature, Nujabes, and Tsutchie.

    He can get away with sounding boring at times because he makes up for it, it's his style, there's a lot more to his beats than one would initially think. Wave Motion is a prime example, his beats just draw me in, they are atmospheric and interesting. [2] absolutely, you can't really create something thats not repetitive in this genre, but thats the point, once you get it - youll enjoy it
