X-modem is an amateur electronica musician who started making music in the late 90's, his first songs appearing on the now defunct mp3.com. In 2000 he put together his first album "Frogs on Windows" using MTV's music generator on a laptop that was woefully underpowered for the task. That album languished in his possession for nearly a decade until 2009 when he published the album on last.fm.
