Fan Death is string-driven synth pop collaboration, between Dandilion Wind Opaine (of Dandi Wind), Marta Jaciubek-McKeever & producer Szam Findlay - plus Marlene Ginader (violin) & Tony Dallas (drums). It was founded in Brooklyn, NY, USA (in 2007).
To date, they have released two 12” records: Veronica’s Veil on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sounds imprint and Cannibal on Tokyo based Big Love Records. They have a 5 track EP titled “A Coin For The Well” out on Pharmacy Records (released early 2010), that was mixed by longtime DFA in house mixer Eric Broucek, with additional mixing by Simon Bookish. In August 2010, they released their debut album titled “Womb of Dreams”.
