Biography

There are 2 bands with the name Falling Forward. 90’s hardcore band from Lousville, Kentucky. And a metalcore/post-hardcore band from Rochester, NY.

1) Lousville, Kentucky’s Falling Forward, whose members went on to form Elliott played a role in the evolution of melodic, emotional hardcore. Long before ‘emo’ had become a catchphrase recognized the world over, many hardcore bands began their quest to merge the abrasive elements of their past with the melody of alternative rock. Falling Forward became an essential part of this progression, showcasing singer Chris Higdon’s soaring melodic vocals and insightful, sincere lyrics along with the band’s powerful hardcore punch.

2) Hi guys, we’re Falling Forward from Rochester, NY. We play what we like to call a melodic pop metal, which pretty much translates to whatever comes out, comes out. We all reside from the town of Webster and had an early start when the band came together during 2005 around the ages of 14 and 15 years old. We played many local shows and learned a lot along the way before playing a final going away show in 2009 because of our busy schedules after high school. With all the members back in town and ready to play the band got back together for our first show back in Dec 2011. We’ve been blessed to share the stage with major artists such as New Found Glory, Four Year Strong, Everlast, Bayside, Vanna, Hit the Lights, and more! But our true love lies in sharing the stage with our fellow homegrown bands of Rochester, NY! Our band takes pride in our stage presence and ensuring our crowd gets involved and has a good time. We have great supporters and if you can catch a Falling Forward show, take advantage and come party with us!
