It is strange, but this album feels simultaneously familiar and alien. Like it it was in a place I had been all along but having realized that just now? It's definitely a great album.

The Real Thing is overrated. This in my opinion is their best album.

You guys mind saying "To me" or "IMO" in your claims of The Real Thing being their worst album. I think all of their albums with Patton are about on par with each-other. Angel Dust lags a little behind IMO.

The Real Thing is their WORST album? Pretty sure that's the only time I've ever seen/heard anyone say that.

This is much much better than The Real Thing, which is their worst album. It's kind of like King for a Day except much more focused and concise. It would be interesting to see if they continue the sound of this record on their seventh album, if they ever make it.
