Fairport Convention

Si Tu Dois Partir (2:18)

In 1969 Fairport Convention enjoyed some mainstream success when they entered the singles charts with "Si Tu Dois Partir", a French-language version of Bob Dylan's "If You Gotta Go, Go Now" from their album "Unhalfbricking". The record just missed the top twenty, but secured the band a slot on Top Of The Pops, Britain's most popular television pop music programme at the time.

  • This would actually be a decent song if the French wasn't spoken with pig disgusting English accent on the "r"s.
