These guys need more love on here. Last shout in 2014!? Their oldest album has over 1,000 listeners yet their newest only has 8 listeners!? That's sad! :( I love these guys so much. Let's support them, everyone!
Just saw them on Saturday for the first time, not having ever heard them before. I got to meet the band while helping out with sound. They put on a terrific show. Johnny hauled some young guy on stage who had previously told the band he learned one of their songs, saying "This is what you get for telling us you learned one of our sounds, now play it, now who knows the lyrics and wants to come up here and sing?" So all 3 people from the crowd got to play the song with the band. I had a great time.
Annnnd all their albums except for the first EP "How About That?" are officially on Spotify to stream for free. Well, the US version, at least. Go go go! And if you like, considering heading out to one of their shows and picking up a shirt or two? Maybe even a CD. These guys need all the support they can get.
I have to say, Eyeshine is one of the most inspiring and clean alternative rock bands out there. Their sound is hard, yet you can still catch hold onto what the lyrics are about. Each song tells a different story of what seems to be events in his life, yet that has yet to be questioned.
As for their religious aspect: Why should it matter? Just because members of the band are apart of a certain religion, doesn't change their music. POD, Thousand Foot Crutch, and Skillet are Christan based bands, yet they sound like any normal rock/alt band out there. And, yes he said his inspiration comes from God. Is that wrong? No. We all have things that inspire us, so respect it and take personal vendettas elsewhere.
"Who's the faggot that tagged this as christian rock?" Look into the band, go to there official forums. They have "Prayer Request" section. They are a band of Christians, so while they may not completely be categorized as a "Christian band" that is what they are. Johnny Yong Bosch has stated that Sunday Flower is about a man who only acts like a christian on Sundays at church.
