Biography

Formed in 2004, Guelph-based Explosure draws on influences ranging from pop punk to third wave ska to boss reggae to create their unique sound. Their solid, rockin' beats are supplemented by more soulful reggae grooves to form an incredibly danceable whole. Following a tour of southern Ontario as part of Skankin' for Dimes '05 and a ten month hiatus, founding members Eric Kupp (Vocals/Alto Sax/Keys), Ben Ragetlie (Bass), Jeremy Fletcher (Guitar/Tenor Sax), and Jeff Pettis (Drums) were joined in the spring of 2006 by Davian "Dave-have" Hart (Guitar) and Ben Keller (Trumpet) to solidify their current line-up. After several extremely DIY E.P.s and Live records, Explosure released their official debut "Indecent Explosure" in 2007.
