Eve of Release

Traditional multiple member bands are generally more accepted by music fans than solo recording artists because of the more organic sound they usually create in the studio, but their biggest drawback is that they tend to have a very hard time replicating the majestic sound of the true music their songwriter hears in his or her mind, and more often than not the emotional connection between the listener and the songwriter is lost before the first chorus. Chris McDermott has forged a technique that achieves complete independence from a band by holding true to the heart of the music he is creating, delivering an emotional performance that could only be rendered by an artist who has full control over exactly how they envision their music to sound; and he does this in every track he records. The listener can become lost on a journey through the soul of a songwriter who hardly seems to care about how exposed he is by the revealing music and lyrics he pours into his recorder, leaving them scrambling for the rewind button.
