Recorded during the 2001-2002 demos and revamped as a B-side on the Australian Bring Me To Life Commercial Single and later released as a bonus track on the CD portion of Anywhere but Home (the track can also be heard during the ending credits of the live performance). Has been internationally released as a radio single in Europe and South America in 2004.

Throughout the verses there is a looped background vocal of Amy whispering “Can you stop the fire? / Can you stop the fire? / You can’t stop the fire / You won’t say the word” on the right audio channel, and “Please, please” on the left.

    the anywhere but home version is by far the most exquisite song the band has ever produced. for seven years now, this song has captivated my attention: it's not melodically complex or musically brilliant--but I think what makes this song so incredibly special is a young amy emoting the lyrics wildly. somewhere between her mainstream exposure via 'fallen' and her worldwide media gank courtesy of subsequent albums alongside endless news stories, missing is an enigma caught in time: it's a desperate glimpse into the damaged psyche of lee, present for the world to see. the wildly emotive strings, damaging vocals, and, of course, lee's devastating vocal delivery marks this song as one that should truly be remembered in modern musical culture--it's not the most original song in the world, but it's certainly one that creates an atmosphere and tone far beyond what anyone else could deliver. and it makes me cry, so--bonus points!
