Biography
Evan Rogers has been leading the congregation of Jubilee Community Church, Cape Town into the presence of God since 1990. He is a regular worship leader at various events within a family of churches known as Newfrontiers both in South Africa and the UK.
A prolific songwriter and gifted musician, Evan has released eight worship albums, as well as three solo albums and one album with his Cape Town based band ‘Obzcure’.
Outside of South Africa he is best known for his songs ‘This is Where the Party is’ (on Chosen from the Nations), ‘The Greatest Day’ (on The Passion of God’s Son), ‘Ecstatic Praise’ (on The Power of the Cross) and ‘You Reign Supreme’ (on Supreme).
Evan is one of the few worship leaders who is able to combine different musical and cultural styles in a dynamic worship context.
He is married to Tracy and is thrilled to be living in South Africa with its unique opportunities and blend of cultures.
