    This was one of my favorite songs as soon as I heard it back in the early 1980s. Another similarly themed song is "Little Water Song" by Bruno Pisek and Nick Cave, sung by Ute Lemper on her album "Punishing Kiss."

    they used this in the film 1984. feckin gorgeous song but i always thought it was about suicide ('underneath the water') - which was fine cos i was a 15 year old angst ridden teen and boy it suited my mood ;0
