SELVA wasn’t a subset of ether frolics but since only two songs made it to tape and both groups shared a fair number of members, I felt that as far as last.fm uploads were concerned I’d encourage some kind of center of gravity. Hopefully people that stumble upon E frolics will find SELVA as well. If I uploaded SELVA seperately, the two songs might never get played on last.fm
the REAL center of gravity of SELVA was Nina Marks and her wonderful poetry and voice.
Nina was the starting point, I tried to help underpin things with some pretty chords, then SELVA (Mark Wardo, Mark Lazo and Dave Moore) fleshed things out, and then the E Frolics cats (matt, stephen and brian) helped to add colour and spice in the studio.
The two SELVA recordings were done live except for the vocals. so without much fuss, in two days we made some nice sounds!

voodooramen I am surprised how good the 2002 stuff is, you guys knew what you were doing. Great vibe and great instrumentation. It's a shame it wasn't properly released, "Nothing" is really a great song.
