Biography

Eternal Summers hail from the Magic Twig Community of Roanoke, VA, a tight knit collective of musicians whose bands share instruments as well as personnel. Eternal Summers started as a two-piece project between guitarist/vocalist Nicole Yun and drummer Daniel Cundiff. Their sound has been described as lo-fi, jangly dream-punk, although these descriptors cannot capture the beauty and energy found in the music of Eternal Summers. The band released their debut LP, “Silver”, on Kanine Records in 2010 and followed that up with 2011’s “Dawn of the Eternal Summers” LP. They have since added bassist Jonathan Woods to thicken their sound, which is evident on their new LP, “Correct Behavior” due July 24 on Kanine Records.

I haven't listened to the "Silver LP", but I sure love "Correct Behavior". Must dwell into the dark corners of the internet now, to find the silvered one...

I'm really enjoying the album, just listening to it in full now. Surprised at the lack of activity in like 4 months in this shoutbox but whatever. Liked them since Pure Affection started kicking about the blogs a couple years back, don't know what took me so long getting on the LP but I'm glad I did

it prob wouldn't sound so bad out of context but the production quality was just a huge jump from (amazing) songs like "fall straight back" http://walrusmusicblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Fall-Straight-Back.mp3

I have no idea what you guys are on about. Sure, I may be late to the party, as the song "Millions" introduced me to this band, but I love the song, and I love the rest of the album as well. Pretty much flawless album to me.

did they release "millions" early and place it at the front of the record so that the high production value wouldn't sound so jarring on the other tracks? either way, great album but fuck "millions"

Surfshitty way to go at generalizing. not saying I disaagree though. i just always try not to think of it so as long as it last at least i can enjoy what i got. I honestly admit i have a problem with something as soon as it is mainstream.(but i realize at least its my problem lol)

woah! found these guys on beko a while ago and picked up silver, now I check back and this new album!! so different! millions had me a little worried but I think they really stayed true to their own sound at the core of it all. I like it !!! Disappear and especially Summerset are totally incredible!!

As long as one of them would be Pinkie Pie, I'm cool with it. [This shout was approved by the International Bronies Association]

I like blink-182. If Eternal Summers become something like that I hope they'll have the decency of getting their drummer tattooed from toe to forehead.

Pretty nifty little album! They turned out to be quite a lovely surprise, perfectly filling that gap between indie and rock that was making my music library weep.
