• Hoy Lunes...

  • How All Matched in the Soundtrack Game

Right, up till now I've always thought that it's dull, overrated and even poshy. Never thought it could be this gregarious! With each song, I wondered even more at how intelligent last.fm's library is. So I can recommend this game as a good source of relaxation! And these are my results.

    Opening Credits:
Achillea – Prologo (Whoa! That fits so well!)

    Waking Up:
Archive – Lights (Yeah, lights on!)

    First Day At School:
    Emmy Rossum – Falling
Fron what I remember, it was rather Stumbling or Stuttering than Falling. Let's treat it metaphorically.

    Falling in Love:
    The Cinematics – Keep Forgetting
    AND Lisa Gerrard – Devotion.
Last.fm's library went on strike some seconds after it turned on The Cinematics. Still, I managed to notice them, and to my surprise I found out that Lisa matches even better :D. This is going to be a very interesting game!

    Fight Song:
    Kubb – Grow
Heh. This probably means that one ought to grow up mentally and NOT fight. Talk or walk away. Peace.

A promise for the Flamenco altogether. Her career dates far back. At age four she sang Levante chants, at seven recorded with guitar master Sabicas and at sixteen impressed thousands during the opening ceremony for the Sierra Nevada World Ski Championships.

Her craft has amazed hard-to-please flamencologists as well as rockers like Lenny Kravitz. Her genetics plays along. The father, Enrique Morente, is one of the greatest innovators of the 'cante' and they collaborated together in many projects. Her mother, Aurora, a dancer known as La Pelota, stems from a vast dinasty of the Madrid Flamenco where her uncle Antonio Carbonell and her grandfather the guitarrist Montoyita also belong. The young singer has dedicated her definitive maturity statement, the album 'Mi cante y un poema' (2001), to the latter.

Estrella Morente has given solo recitals over all major Spanish capitals, has collaborated in the Joaquín Cortés troupe, and was featured in the movie soundtracks for 'Sobreviviré' and 'Buñuel y La mesa del Rey Salomón'. …
