Estrangulados is a death metal band from Jyväskylä, Finland featuring members of Sotajumala, Kataplexia and Paraxism (RIP).
Estrangulados was officially born in June 2008 when Tomi Otsala and Pete Lapio told Timo Häkkinen he was going to join their new project. By August the line-up was completed with the addition of Rodrigo Artiga and Sami Kokko. It was clear from the start what the band would sound like: crushing, heavy as fuck, yet groovy old school death metal. It was decided that the band would be called Estrangulados.
And then there was the vision: To write, record and release an album roughly within a year from the moment the band was born. Songs were being written and rehearsed throughout fall and winter and by January 2009 the material for the album was completed. After pre-production in late January/early February the band started focusing on the album itself with plans to have it completed by spring 2009.
