space age pop
and impossible-to-define-but-definitely-groovy music. This is luxuriamusic.com, a place where Hammond organs, ondiolines, Moog synthesizers, brass sections, and accordions reign supreme. I imagine this is what Austin Powers would have listened to 24/7, a station that features the likes of Esquivel
Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass
and Martin Denny
Much of the station programming is computer-driven, but a standout feature of LuxuriaMusic is the unique "theme" shows on nights and weekends, programs hosted by some of the most knowledgeable and passionate music aficionados on the web! This week alone, I've heard the above-mentioned artists as well as records by "Barbie and Ken", Leonard Nimoy, and 1960's 7-Up commercials that sounded like pop records of the day.
