Escape Everyday [i-skeyp ev-ree-dey] - band
A state of mind in which someone gets lost in music over an unknown period of time. This feeling is being influenced by dynamic rocktunes with hypnotizing melodies accompanied by fast breaks and soothing intermezzos…
The creator of this state of mind is in its natural habitat when on stage or in a studio making music.
[origin: The Netherlands, 2005]

Alternative rock, Progressive

escape everyday is not for the everyday man. Its layered compositions filled with flow transitions creates a certain threshold. But once inside one will learn to appreciate the rich diversity of mood swings and dynamic changes of style. The message to put out there is not plain simple but not incomprehensible either; escape everyday is about escaping everyday life, escaping the straightjacket that is modern society, escaping in music, preferably everyday. The band can be boxed for not thinking inside a box. Therefore their alternative rock leans towards progressive, inspired by bands like Tool, Oceansize and Isis.

The instruments involved are bass guitar (kay), lead guitar (thom), drums (erik) vocals and rhythm guitar (wouter). It was summer 2005 when the band saw its first sunrise. The music only started shining in 2007, when a certain direction became visible. The path lead the band through many places and resulted in over 25 gigs including a UK tour. In 2008 the bar will be set a little bit higher with the release of their debut EP ‘…when silence is deafening’, accompanied by a small release tour across the Netherlands.
