Eric Burdon & The Animals was a psychedelic rock band formed after The Animals disbanded in 1966.

In 1967, lead singer Eric Burdon planned to make a solo career, but then he thought about "New Animals".   • This band was the answer to the american psychedelic bands mainly with the peace and love movement,which their major performance was at the Monterey Pop Festival where bands as The Who,Jimi Hendrix,Country Joe & The Fish,Mamas & Papas,Otis Redding,Ravi Shankar,and many others performed superbly at mid-60's.
  • The original, "Mod" edition of The Animals is one of my top ten most-oft-played bands! This version isn't as compelling to me, but it's still Eric Burdon and his crew, making hip-shaking grooves.
