About This Track

“Sky Pilot” is a pioneering ant-vietnam-war-anthem, which topped the charts in 1968. Eric Burdon’s dramatic vocals and lyrics are backed up by an orchestra with flutes, horns, bagpipes, trumpets and violins. It’s also famous for his basslines, accapellas and the war simulation in the middle of the song. The fusion of the guitar solo and the gun shots could be discribed as heavy metal.
