Netherlands (1997 – present)

1. Endymion, three hardcore artists from the Netherlands, are rated among the most popular producers, live-acts and DJ-teams in the world. The outfit was founded in 1997 and the combined talents of the three members quickly resulted in their first release on Supreme Intelligence Records in 1998. This jump-started their career, and in addition to a string of successful releases on Supreme Intelligence and its successor Gangsta Audiovisuals, Endymion has also recorded for such top international hardcore labels as D-Boy, The Third Movement, Babyboom and Neophyte Records.

In 2001 DJ Ruffneck started Enzyme Records and he asked Endymion and Nosferatu to be the figureheads of the label. The new label instantly proved to be a massive success and Endymion’s popularity skyrocketed to great heights. Enzyme Records saw the light of such Endymion classics as: All the Way Up, Payback, Drunk With a Gun, Rock the Part-E, It’s All Music, Pussy Motherfuckerz, and many, many more. Each and every Endymion release has been a big hit and is played by virtually every hardcore-DJ on the planet. The highlight of their recording career thusfar has been the release of their Catalysed Reactions album in 2003.

2. In order to describe its sound, scientists use the following words: water, sleep, hypnosis, circular movement, solitude, resonance, mental.
Apart from this description, a more colloquial description would meet the following terms: darkwave, coldwave, atmospheric, dancey (with ‘e’ between ‘c’ and ‘y’).
Endymion has been god-split in 2003, giving word to BLAME, the more confronting sibling, and changing into something even more introverted, more withdrawn. It is becoming.

yup. They definitely make hardstyle now, and there's a few others who call it hardcore too. But it's much better than what the usual hardstyle scene puts out. And much, much better than putting out popcore.

I've only been into harder dance for a few years.. but yes id say that new hardcore to my ears sounds like hardstyle. If you think you have it bad though.. you should see what current hardstyle is doing :/ If this new hardcore is a replacement my hardstyle head is considering it a lucky break though, as from a hardstyle perspective this 'raw hardstyle' or whatever absolutely rocks.

I'll usually just ignore the "multiple artists with same name" bug but this one is actually pretty funny. As I'm typing this I'm listening to erudite, posh and uptight-sounding contemporary classical Endymion so of course the comments and track titles displayed here don't quite fit what I'm experiencing right now :) I think I'll give hardcore Endymion a go as soon as my current playlist ends!

Still better than a lacking mad kid who needs to annoy others with his trivial opinion! Get some friends douche, maybe they care about you and your opinion. And the fact that you can't respond normally to a normal and legitimate question makes YOU look like a fucking idiot. You're probably the worst hater and flamer ever so do yourself a favour and shut up. Thanks kiddo.:)

i've told ya. =) also, "anger" remix is pretty nice, but the rest of first cd sounds more poppy than even that ancient album called "mutilate" by mr. angerfist.

Judgment Day, Anger rmx, Face II Face, Damned To Hell, Chaos, Smash all are way harder than the current average, so yes, you are a no good hater.

from now on, endymion officially can suck my ass, cuz "three" deserves to be called the worst hardcore release ever. it's not actually hardcore, it's some kind of uptempo hardstyle, and that's not nice. don't call me a hater, i'm just always vote for good stuff, and i admit that sound production on "three" is really good. but that's never enough.
