Emperor Charlemagne is a novice and amateur composer with a smattering of musical training and theory knowledge. He has played the piano for 10+ years and brings his knowledge of music theory and form to create a few tracks of his own.

Though he considers himself primarily a ‘classical’ composer (in the loosest sense of the term), he has composed in electronic, pseudo-avant garde, video-game, and other genres.

He draws major stylistic influence and inspiration the works of Johannes Brahms, Richard Strauss, Arnold Schoenberg, and a some other German Romanticists, to name a few. The works of Gyorgi Ligeti and Steve Reich also fascinate him. When composing tracks for video-game music, he looks towards progressive artists, such as Tamayo Kawamoto and Hisayoshi Ogura (of ZUNTATA), among others.

Though his early works were, and are, hampered by technical limitations, he expresses the desire for better programming technique in the future to truly make his musical vision come alive.

He also realizes how disgustingly cheesy this description of him is.
