Biography
Emma K Spence - Singer,Songwriter,Pianist - main genres Blues,Folk,Jazz,Soul. Born and raised in England to Jamaican parents. Using her classical piano training Emma would spend countless hours at the piano, writing, arranging her own songs and singing. Her musical influences comprise of her parents record collection of Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Folk and 60s and 70s Motown R&B; and the hits of David Bowie, Elton John, Kate Bush, Queen, Rod Stewart, Van Morrison and The Eurythmics, to name but a few.
Emma’s first demo - electronic and live piano - self written, arranged and
produced in London led to a show case in New York,
where she sang and played some of her acoustic based songs on the Steinway grand piano at Blue Note Records.
The experience in the US demonstrated Emma’s versatility and her
marketability as an international artist.
Emma’s musical style continues to evolve and refine itself. Her collection of songs – show the definitive style, range and skill of Emma K Spence.
