Emma is also known as Elektra Spell www.facebook.com/elektraspell, and was a member of The Love Spells www.facebook.com/thelovespells. She still performs in the all female pop punk band The Lady Medusa www.facebook.com/theladymedusa
She also performs with Medusa’s Curse who supported The Hussy’s at King Tut’s
Previously she has performed with various bands including: The Awkwards (guitar), Piston Broke(bass) and The Koshkas (bass). However, she is perhaps best known as the former frontwoman of Bad Karma (guitar and vocals), Those Valentinos, and Baby Karma.
On the 9th December 2001 Emma performed her first solo acoustic gig, and has since gone on to carve out a reputation for herself as a fine and much in demand singer songwriter. She has been compared with artists like PJ Harvey, Suzanne Vega and Harriet Wheeler from The Sundays. Her first solo demo was recorded by Chris Thomson from The Bathers (ex member of For Love or money) in 2001, and as a result she has gone on to support various artists including: James Grant, Fish, Midge Ure, Duke Special, Frank Turner, Rose Kemp, Astrid Williamson, The Wrigley Sisters and many more.
In 2011 Emma performed at The Tall Ships in Greenock on the Sugar Sheds stage and at L Fest. Emma also supported julie Matthews at Carlisle Folk & Blues Club and in August she supported Brigitte Aphrodite at the Edge Festival in Cabaret Voltaire this year.
