Johan Gustav Emil Sjögren (16 June 1853, Stockholm – 1 March 1918, Knivsta) was a Swedish composer. He is considered among the best of Swedish composers of lieder.

Sjögren studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and later at the Berlin Conservatory He traveled widely and while a Nordic tone is present in his largely romantic idiom, much of his music bears a cosmopolitan, particularly French style.
