The one prog band I could never get into. For me it marked the era when prog was becoming too mainstream and the emphasis drifted away from beautiful songs to self-indulgent technical wankery. I just don't see the appeal.

ELP ist eine sehr gute Rockband von 70's. Keith Emmerson zählte mit John Lord (Deep Purple) sowie Rick Wakeman (Yes) zu den drei besten Rock- Organisten von 1970.

this is the website of Soniq Theater: http://www.soniqtheater.de the music is progressive rock with electronic influences, best compared to ELP, Rick Wakeman, Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream. You can listen to all Soniq Theater music there and learn more about Soniq Theater. Reviewers and Radio-DJs: free download is possible but you can also get free promo CDs.

Tracks like Jeremy Bender, Benny The Bouncer and Are You Ready Eddy? are a reason I always avoided ELP as a Prog Rock Fan and why they have no Album that can be titled as masterpiece in my opinion. They recorded some good stuff though.

This respected group has always sought to extract a diverse and deep sound. They have always been adventurous in the choice of material, and in the philosophical approach to the music. They produce a great impression of a mixture of artistry and power of influence. It makes sense to have them for your own collection.

"We tried to make sure that every line we wrote contained some element of universal truth." - Greg Lake of King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer reflects on writing "Lucky Man" when he was just 12-years-old, tells us what the "9" in "Karn Evil 9" does (or does not!) mean, explains why he filmed the video for "I Believe In Father Christmas" in the desert, and describes one of his most explosive on stage moments in Bologna: http://www.songfacts.com/blog/interviews/greg_lake_of_emerson_lake_palmer/
